Commissioner Alia Sacks, Chief of Staff in Benue

The Governor of the State of Benue, Hyacinth Alia, on Wednesday dissolved the State Executive Council.

Head of the Governor’s Press Secretary, Mr. Tersoo Kula, announced the dissolution in a statement in Makurdi.

Governor Alia told the Cabinet Members of Dissolution at the end of the council meeting in the Capital of the State.

He directed the commissioners to submit permanent secretary in their service as soon as possible.

The governor thanked former commissioners who worked with him in the last two years and urged those who might not be reappointed, to remain in the Congress of all Progressive (APC).

Alia has agreed to immediately appoint a lawyer, Mr. Moses Atagher, as the new Chief of Staff.

He replaced Mr. Paul Biam in that position.

Atagher is a former Attorney General and Commissioner of justice in the state.

He is also a former Director of Federal Mortgage Bank.

Speaking to the dissolved commissioners, the Attorney General and the Commissioner of the Past for justice and public order, Bemsen Mnyim, appreciated the Governor for giving them the opportunity to serve the country.
