Manager Antonio Conte has expressed his joy after leading Napoli to their fourth Serie A title. But he said the season was difficult.
Napoli sealed their Italian topflight victory on Friday night when they defeated Cagliari 2-0 on Matchday 38 to ensure the top position above Inter Milan.
With Inter Milan who came in second place in leading 2-0 in Como, Napoli had to win to finish above Serie A.
Napoli knew the victory would see them as the Italian champion for the second time in three seasons and Scott Mctominay and Romelu Lukaku scored a big goal.
Napoli have now emerged as champions in 1986-87, 1989-90 and 2022-23, and the 2024-25 season.

“That happened again, and that was something extraordinary,” said Conte.
“When we arrived at the stadium, to be honest, it was difficult to enter, because I didn’t know how many people there. I had a little thinking, if we disappoint these people, it would be something we brought for us for a long time.”
He added: “That is of course the challenges of my most unexpected career, difficult and stimulating.
“To come to Napoli after 10th place [in 2023-24] And try to get everything back to the track, and convince some of the best players to remain because we can do something positive. “
Conte had to watch from the stands when he presented the suspension after being driven out against Parma but quickly came out with his team in the final whistle.
Gaffer Italia has now won the Serie A title with three different teams.
