Court Order Asset Order related to Director of the former Rural Electrification Agency

Judge Obiora Egwuatu from the Federal High Court, Abuja, on Thursday ordered the temporary confiscation of property to land related to two former Director of the Ministry of Finance and Account at the Rural Electrification Agency (REA), Suleiman Bulkwang and Abdullahi Tambo.

The judge gave an order after the lawyer of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), Martha Babatunde, moved the E-PARTE motion for its effects.

He, after that, postponed this problem until July 7 for compliance reports.

Among the seven scorched properties, including a 1 hectare plot of land in Ungwan Rere, the territory of the Lafia government in the Nasarawa state related to Sambo, and four two -bedroom flat units in Kubwa, Abuja, related to Bulkwang.

Rea has been investigated for alleged misuse of funds up to N1.4 billion.

Sambo is suspected to have benefited the total number of N742 million from the funds he allegedly used to buy landing property.

EFCC, in the ex-Parte movement marked: FHC/ABJ/CS/825/2025 and submitted by Ekele Iheanacho (San), has been looking for two prayers.

The commission seeks temporary orders that describe assets as a result of activities that violate the law.

He is also looking for orders that direct the publication of temporary orders in national newspapers for people who have the funds sought found.

Or, EFCC is looking for orders for anyone who is interested in funds to appear before the court to show the cause within 14 days why the funds should not be forfeited permanently to the federal government.
