CSO lauds Jigawa government on its human developmenr projects

Exceptional Leadership and Integrity Promotion Initiative (ELIP), a civil society organisation based in Jigawa state has applauded the state government for initiating projects and programs that have direct bearing on the lives of the citizenry.

ELIP said the state government has made a significant allocation for human resource, recruitment and redesigning constituency projects to empower more citizens.

This was contained in a release signed by its managing director, Isah Mustapha, and made available to Blueprint correspondent Monday.

ELIP is a civil society organisation working on public financial management, social accountability and community development.

“Over the years ELIP-Initiative has been generating citizens’ inputs, annual budget review, analysis and tracking implementations of government programs and projects.

“ELIP lauded the Jigawa state government for considering programs and initiatives that will improve human capital development indices.

“We commend the effort of the Ministry of Budget and Planning as well as other sector planning teams for a mutual working relationship with Civil Society Organisations,” the release stated.

ELIP also commended the state government for institutionalisation of citizens’ participation in the high level budget discussion chaired by the state governor, Umar Namadi.
