Dalai Lama, the spiritual leader of the Buddhist Tibetan, aged 90 on Sunday after one week of celebration.
Thousands of worshipers from all over the world have traveled to Dharamshala, the small town of India at the Himalayan foot where Dalai Lama Life, to mark the opportunity.
This includes old followers and Hollywood stars Richard Gere, who will speak during the celebration for Nobel winners, who are considered one of the most influential religious leaders in the world and worshiped by millions of Tibet Buddhists as manifestations of the life of Chenrezig, a Buddhist god of compassion.
Hundreds of Bhikkhu and monks in red robes dare to endlessly rain on Sundays when they poured through the narrow streets of Dharamshala to the Main Dalai Temple, where spiritual leaders will hold a speech.
The event for the Dalai Lama’s birthday began on Monday, which marked his 90th birthday on the Tibet Calendar, six days before his birthday at the Gregorian calendar on Sunday.
On Saturday, Dalai Lama said he hoped to live more for decades, until the age of 130 years.
Tenzin Gyatso, who became the 14th Dalai Lama’s reincarnation in 1940, fled from Tibetas his original in 1959 after a failed rebellion against the Chinese government and shelter in India, along with hundreds of thousands of Tibetan people.
China Has labeled Lama Dalai as a separatist and has tried to bring back the Tibetan Buddhism under its control.
During his celebration week, the Dalai Lama explicitly said he would have a successor after his death, ending for years speculation about whether he would be the last spiritual leader of Tibet.
