Davido and Sophia Momodu saga: Emerging issues.

The question of whether Sophia is a gold digger is completely out of the question. Their relationship happened about a decade ago and Davido was not as excited and charged as he is today. To Sophia’s credit, Davido had not told any mortal that Sophia had forced him into that relationship. And by the time that happened, Davido was already an adult with the capacity to know exactly what he wanted.

Regardless of how much Sophia disguised herself to hide her real age, I think Davido fell in love with true love at that time, despite the age difference. In other words, it was a relationship between two available adults. I don’t believe the story of Davido being deceived by Sophia, but yes, it is possible that, ab initio, he knew he would never settle down with her permanently, regardless of whether he needed her body again and again. Sophia may have maintained Imade’s pregnancy to keep Davido for life but, unfortunately, she got the pregnancy and lost Davido. However, for anyone to suggest that she is using Imade to extort money from Davido and his family, that is a no no for me.

Davido is a big brand and that should be reflected in everything he has his hands on, and that, of course, includes Imade. For goodness sake, Davido is now a married man and very busy, to be fair. His wife, Chioma, has his two twin sons to worry about and take care of. Why the desperation to strip Sophia “naked” and take Imade away from her? For me, that remains his only joy for now. His only complaint is that Davido should provide for Imade properly.

To me, this is a legitimate call, as long as it doesn’t drain Davido. Moderation is the rule.
