Michael and Felicia Alabi Memorial National Table Table Tennis Championships will irradiate the new champion on Friday, after the release of defending champions Jamiu Ayanwale and Sukurat Aiyelabegan.
The five -day final tournament was held at Otan Ayegbaju, Osun state.
Sanctions by the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation (NTTF) and organized by Osun State Table Tennis Association, this tournament offers a collection of prizes N11.5 million.
Players from Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Taraba, Nasarawa, Abia, Adamawa, Anambra, Delta, Edo, Kwara, Kogi, Ekiti, Katsina, Niger, Zamfara, and host states, Osun, compete to respect various events.
Clubs such as Aruna Sports Club, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), and the Nigerian Police are also competing to get the highest awards at the National Ranking Championship.

In great disappointment, Matthew Fabunmi from Kwara defeated 2024 Jamiu Ayanwale champion from Rivers in the men’s singles quarter-finals with a 3-1 win (11-9, 8-11, 11-8, 11-8).
Leading number one Abdulbasit Abdulfatai continued his dominant journey, securing a 4-1 victory over Abdulraheem Sanni from Edo in the semifinals. Fabunmi also won over Joshua Outdiran from Ondo 4-1, preparing the Final All-Kwara.
At the women’s single, Veteran Halimat Hussein from Oyo used his experience to issue 2024 champions Sukurat Aiyelabegan.
Hussein then defeated his national champion Bose ODSAN from Lagos 4-3 to reach the final, where he would face Udoaka’s hopes from Cross River. Udoaka has a smooth road to the final, overcoming Aishat Raibu from Oyo 4-1 in the semifinals.
In the men’s lajang events, grades 1-5, Paris 2024 bronze medalists in Paralympics Isau Ogunkunle from Ogun appeared as champions. In grade 6-10, Abiola Adesope claimed the title by defeating the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics Bronze Medal Olufemi Alabi.
