Philip Shuaibu, the re-appointed Deputy Governor of Edo State, on Saturday, defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The move comes after Shaibu was reinstated as deputy governor by the Federal High Court in Abuja.
The defection occurred during the inauguration of the Edo State APC National Working Committee at the Edo governorship election meeting.

The meeting was attended by prominent APC figures such as former governor of Kano State and National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, and Governorship Aspirant, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
This development follows Shuaibu’s allegation that his principal, Godwin Obaseki, refused him entry into the state.
