Desert community residents as bandits take over in kogi (video)

The egbe community in the regional government of West Yagba has been fully abandoned by residents after terrorists continue to surround them, forcing people to flee to get safety.

The community which is a member of the Member State of Parliament representing Kogi East in the National Assembly, Senator Sunday Karimi, has been under the continuous attack by terrorists in the last few weeks who forced the senator to visit people on September 21, to sympathize with the people.

In the recent attack on the community, terrorists reportedly killed 10 security operators along with several residents in a wave of attacks that lasted three days endlessly.

During the visit, Senator Karimi sympathized with family, colleagues, Nigerian police, and constituents of new attacks by bandits in the zone.

“With great attention, I admit that once again the resurrection of the new bandit attack that has disrupted the lives and livelihoods of our people a few days after the poor Egbe attack, especially in Iprafin, Yagba East Lga, and Abugi, the Kupa area from the LG Lokoja,” said Senator.

“No doubt, the family has been destroyed, security personnel who are brave have paid the highest price, and our collective peace is once again shaken.

“Our land, which was known to be safe, has been changed to a massacre, and our people are killed without thinking by cowards and enemies.

“Simply put, this is a story of pain, sadness, and fear. However, my thoughts and prayers are with every grieving household. I grieve with you, and I stand with you.

“I assure you that we will do every resource needed to secure our people, get rid of fear in the ground, and hunt down these attackers to send them all out of our land.

“We work with the federal government, the state government, and every other stakeholder to capture this threat and stop it by God’s grace,” he added.
