D’Hhhmress defeated Senegal to reach the final of the fifth Afrobasket in a row

D’Mrress from Nigeria set aside Senegal in a thrilling semifinal meeting in 2025 Afrobasket women, securing 75-68 victories on Saturday in Abidjan, Côte D’Voire.

The victory sent Nigeria to the fifth Afrobasket Final in a row, when they continued the chase of consecutive titles.

D’W Ivress remains unbeaten in the tournament since 2015, extending their consecutive wins to 28 matches.

Although eight points behind the start of the fourth quarter, the Nigerian team made an amazing comeback, showing the resilience and domination that had determined the government during their decades in African women’s basketball.

They will face the semifinal winner Mali vs Sudan Selatan in the Sunday championship match, scheduled for August 3.
