Former Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has described the Netherlands’ performance against Austria in the current Euro 2024 as shameful.
Let’s remember that on Tuesday, the Netherlands lost 3-2 to Austria in their last game of the group stage and qualified for the round of 16 as one of the best third-place finishers.

Reacting to his performance, the former Real Madrid attacking midfielder was not very impressed by the Dutch team at Euro 2024.
“We play like Virgil van Dijk just said!” Van Der Vaart on the Dutch television channel NOS.
“We had to witness a disgraceful performance! I want the captain of our country to show some PASSION!”
