Divers die while working to recover concave Bayesian Superyacht | World News

A diver has died while working to recover the concave Bayesian Superyacht off the coast of Sicilia, the local police said.

The incident occurred when the man was under water during the preliminary operation to recover the ship on Friday, said the police, added that the cause of death was unknown.

Efforts to lift cruise ships from the seabed are expected to be late this month and will help explain how the 56 meter (184ft) ship disappears into the sea.

The Yacht is owned by British technology tycoon Mike Lynch, which is among the seven people, including his 18 -year -old daughter, Hannah – who died when Bayesian sank on August 19 last year.

Around 70 specialist personnel have been mobilized to the village of Porticello in Sicilia from all over Europe to work on recovery operations, which began earlier this week.

Working to move Bayesian to an upright position and lift it to the surface will begin in less than two weeks, depending on the appropriate weather and sea conditions.

British Marine Consultation TMC Marine, which oversees operations to raise ships, has been approached to be asked for comments by the PA News Agency.

The examination process in the UK saw the death of Mr. Lynch and his daughter, as well as the Chairman of the International Bank Morgan Stanley Jonathan Bloomer and his wife Judy, all of whom were British citizens.

The others who died in drowning were US lawyers Chris Morvillo and his wife Neda Morvillo, and National Recaldo Thomas Canada-Atiguan, who worked as a chef on the ship.
