D’O TIGRESS OUTGRASS Cameroon to get to Afrobasket 2025 semis

The six-time champions, Nigeria’s Tigress, have advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Women’s Afrobasket Tournament by defeating Cameroon 83-47 and keep their campaign to defense the title alive in the Ivory Cote reports, Fiba.basketball.

The victory extends its undefeated streak in Africa to 27, which dates back to 2015, while bringing them closer to a fifth consecutive record. Only Senegal has achieved the current feat of Nigeria de Cuatro.

After the dominant victory against Cameroon, D’Tigress will now face Seengal in the semifinals on Saturday, August 2.

While D’Tigress continues to rewrite the history of female basketball in Africa, Cameroon, a former silver medalist, is fighting for fifth place, which would be an improvement of a place of his performance in 2023.
