E1 Lakes GP 2025 as a global opportunity
Omotoso said that Sanwo-olu sees the GP lakes as an opportunity to tell the history of Lagos, especially because Lagos is a land of opportunities. He revealed that almost 40 aquatic sports enthusiasts will arrive in Nigeria.

Egube added that Lagos, as a city-state, has the vision of being the model city of Africa, a global economic center that is safe.
He explained that when Lagos is mentioned, it must be recognized as a leading place for culture, entertainment, tourism, finance and technology, and the GP E1 Lagos aligns with this vision.
First African host city for the E1 series
Egube also acknowledged that Lagos is the first city of Africa in organizing the event. He said it is the right of Lagos to do it for Africa, especially because his vision is to be on par with outstanding cities around the world that have welcomed the aquatic sport before.
He added that the event will not only be about a race, but also a great party that comes to Lagos, describing it as a tactical flag of the “Dirty December”.
