DSS did not prevent me from seeing Kanu – Ex -AGF Agabi

Former prosecutor General of the Federation (AGF) and defense lawyer in the process of terrorism of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the indigenous populations of Biafra (iPob), Kanu Agabi (San), denied a report that the officials of the Department of State Services (DSS) Tuesday in Abuja have denied and members of their client.

Agabi spoke at the hearing taken up on Wednesday while he responded to a survey by judge James Omotosho on the truthfulness of a report attributed to a member of the defense team, Lega Ejimakor.

According to the judge, Ejimakor published on one of its social media platforms that DSS denied legal access to the leader of the Ipob.

During the answer, Agabi said that nothing of these happened. He blamed Ejimakor for confusion and praised the conduct of the DSS officials who according to him were very respectful and courteous.

Agabi said: “I was not denied access to the accused. We had organized to go there with myself, Ikpeazu, Etiaba, herokoro. But for some reasons, they were not available.

“When I arrived at the gate around 13:00, they said that our name had not arrived. To be honest, they (the officials of the DSS) showed me enough.

He added that he was surprised and angry when he later learned that a member of his team loaded an online story that was denied access to the accused.

Furthermore, he asked the judge what he informed his decision, Ejimakor said that he thought that Agabi was angry for him was denied access to Kanu when they spoke on the phone, a position that the former AGF contrasted and explained that Ejimakor gave him the wrong time for the appointment.
