Ed Sheeran pondered the copyright trial for allegedly stealing ‘let’s get it Marvin Gaye’

British song singer Ed Sheeran has spoken honestly about his emotional experience during a well-published copyright violation, where he was accused of stealing the Hit Ikon Marvin Gaye song “Let’s Get It On” for his own song “Thinking Out Loud.”

The new Sheeran talks about how difficult it is to maintain his creative integrity during the trial, calling it “draining” and “frustrating.” The heir of fellow author Gaye Ed Townsend filed a complaint, claiming that the song Sheeran was very similar to Soul Smash 1973.

Throughout the trial, Sheeran insisted that the similarity was unintentional and came from the joint music element. In the end, the jury found supporting him, freeing him from any mistakes.

Sheeran reflects the experience and says that although the lawsuit affects him both emotionally and professionally, he is happy that justice is served.

In addition, he expressed concern about the potential damage that could be done by such lawsuits for song writing and creativity in the music business, warning that “If this becomes a norm, it holds back the future of music.”

Referring to the trial of his copyright, he said, “The judge ordered me to hand over my old device to other lawyers so that they could go through all my text and email messages and photos and things like that.

” And in that process I turned on the phone that I had not seen in 10 years, and it felt like looking to the past, and that was a conversation with people who had died.

The singer continued: ‘There is an argument with an ex -boyfriend; There, you know, text messages and images from people I haven’t seen or talk to, in 10 years, and I write this song about that called the old telephone. ‘
