Edo 2024: KPU will resume counting results at 10 am

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has announced that the counting of results from the Edo State governorship election held on Saturday will resume on Sunday at 10am.

The State Electoral Commissioner (EC), Dr Anugbum Omuoha, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday morning, assured voters and contestants that the counting of votes would be conducted with full transparency, in line with the prevailing EC regulations.

“We hereby inform the general public, stakeholders and observers that the counting of the results of the ongoing Edo State governorship election will resume today, Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 10am,” Omuoha said.

Omuoha stressed that the commission was committed to ensuring that the counting process followed the set guidelines, adding that the patience and cooperation of all parties involved was appreciated.

“We appreciate the parties’ patience and cooperation as we work to ensure credible and accurate results from this important election,” he said.
