The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the Edo State governorship election, Asue Ighodalo, has condemned the conduct of the election in some parts of the state.
He also lamented that this election could be remembered as the worst election in Nigeria’s history due to the many irregularities.
Ighodalo spoke during a press conference on Sunday, held by the PDP Edo National Campaign Council, led by its chairman, Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.
The event was also attended by the outgoing governor of the state, Godwin Obaseki.

Ighodalo detailed several alleged election irregularities at some polling stations, questioning the credibility of the announced results.
One of the serious violations he cited involved a polling station in Ikpoba/Okha Ologbo, where accredited voters were recorded as zero, yet the results were announced.
“The way this election is going, it will be the worst election in the history of this country.
“In Ikpoba/Okha Ologbo, the number of accredited voters was ZERO, but the results showed that APC got 227 votes, while PDP got 103 votes. How is that possible?
“In another unit in Ikpoba/Okha Ologbo, the number of accredited voters was recorded as 156, but the APC was declared to have obtained 2,110 votes, while the PDP only obtained 57 votes, and no votes were recorded for the Labour Party,” Ighodalo said.
