Edo Election: Oshiomhole clears APC of vote buying allegations

The senator representing Edo North Senatorial District, Senator Adams Oshiomhole, has denied allegations that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was involved in vote buying.

Senator Oshiomhole denied this when he spoke to journalists after casting his vote in Iyamho, District 10 Unit 01 in Estako West Local Government Area of ​​Edo State.

The former Edo State Governor said it was ridiculous for the opposition to make false allegations against the APC.

Oshiomhole said: “It is ridiculous when I hear these kinds of allegations. Do you see where they are dividing the money?

“Many people came to vote for us because they wanted good governance. During the campaign, people came to see me not because I wanted to give them something, but because of what I had done for them while I was governor.

“All the structures that I built 12, 13 years ago are still there, but what the current government built, within a year, has been destroyed.

“So our people have seen the difference. Some people have told me that since I left government, they haven’t seen a real government presence in their community.”
