Edo: Gov Okpebholo appoints three other commissioners

Gov Monday Okpebholo by Edo State

The governor of the state of Edo, senator on Monday Okpebholo, approved the appointment of three commissioners to join his cabinet.

The three commissioned candidates are Dr. Elizabeth Onome Ebosele, Hon. Christopher Ewere Okaeben and Rt. Hon. Festus Odianosen Ebea, jp.

Their names were forwarded to the Chamber of the Edo State Assembly for screening and confirmation.

Dr. Ebosele, an economist of development and expert in public policies, was a technical budget and national planning consultant at the federal level and was part of the technical working group for employment, genre and inclusion for the medium-term national development plan of Nigeria (2021-2025).

Hon. Okaeben, a former member of the Chamber of the Edo State Assembly which represented the western electoral college of Oredo, had held several public offices, including the youth and sport commissioner.

He is also a financial professional with degrees at the University of Benin.

Rt. Hon. Ebea, a former vice -president of the Edo State Assembly House, represented the electoral college of South East of Esan and is widely recognized for its basic mobilization and legislative reforms.

It has the traditional title of Obarisiagbon of Ubiaja and is a justice of peace.

The Secretary of the State Government, Urm Musa Ikhilor, Esq., Which announced the nominations on Thursday 25 September 2025, said that the move was part of the efforts of the governor Okpebholo to strengthen governance and deliver the development agenda of his administration.
