Edo Queens coach, Moses Aduku, draws attention to the semifinal of the Federation Cup

The coach of Edo Queens del Benin City, Moses Aduku, has moved away from the disappointing race that his team had in the recent super-6 of the Nigeria Women’s Soccer League (NWFL), since he wants to concentrate on reaching the final of the Federation Cup this weekend.

Sports247 informs that Edo Queens, who were the winners of the NWFL Super-6 last year, Tango Amazonas Nasarawa of Lafia this Saturday in A fastba, state of Kogi, only a few days after they lost their first NWFL Super-6 2025 match against Remo Ladies of Ikenne, and ended up falling short.

However, Aduku is now thinking of a comfort that would stimulate by his side to excel next season, and emphasized that they are only looking forward.

However, while projected calmly in the future, the former youth midfielder admitted that his team had a torrid campaign in this year’s super-6 in Ikenne, state of Ogun.
Aduku lamented, “It is unfortunate that we couldn’t get what we wanted in the super-6, but that is football for you

“Sometimes it is so, but we have to keep trying. So, we will now go to play the semifinal against the Nasarawa Amazon on Saturday, and we hope to do better.”

Then he stopped the critical insinuations in some sectors that his team will not be able to go further in the Federation Cup, since they face Nasarawa in Ayingba, Kogi state, simply because they did not do well in the recent super-6.

Theorized aduku, “The tournaments are of different types. Sometimes you start late and you end well, sometimes you start early and you finish badly. The important thing is that we try, and we could see how more effort can help us win all our games.”

Aduku concluded with another look at the Super-6 Atro Stars stadium in Ikenne, the state of Ogun and admitted that the defeat that his team suffered in his first game of the Play-Off contest prevented them from retaining the trophy they won last year in Enugu.

“Unfortunately, our beginning was not too good. Football is, unfortunately, we could not complete the task by winning the trophy.” Aduku recalled.
