EFCC arrested 93 alleged internet fraudsters in hotels in the Obasanjo Library

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has arrested 93 people suspected of being involved in internet fraud during the sting operation in Abeokuta, the state of Ogun.

According to a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja by an EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, the operation took place at the Green Legacy Hotel, which is located inside the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library.

Oyewale explained that the arrest followed the “credible intelligence” that connects the suspects with various online criminal activities.

“After their arrest, 18 vehicles and mobile devices were found from them,” he said, added that, “they will be charged with court immediately after the investigation is complete.”
