EFCC arrested the Benue Governor’s aide for alleged sextion

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on Friday captures special advisors to the Governor of the Benue State regarding documentation, research, and planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona because of the alleged sextion and cyberbullying.

The Head of the EFCC media and publicity, Dele Oyewale, said in a statement on Saturday in Abuja that Aondona was arrested after claims of unethical and criminal behavior by several students in the state.

He said the petition makers accused that the governor’s aide routinely recruited girls who were slim and interesting to deliver work and insist on sexual assistance as a condition for selection.

The statement reads: “The Operation of the Directorate of Zonal Makurdi from the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, has captured special advisors to the executive governor of the state of the state regarding documentation, research, and planning, Dr. Mkor Aondona because of the alleged sextion and cyberbullying.

“He was arrested on Friday, June 20, 2025, in Makurdi following the claims of several female students who accused the Governor’s aide of unethical and criminal behavior involving sexual exploitation, virtual intimidation and extortion.

“Petition makers accuse that Aondona routinely recruits slim and attractive girls to deliver work and insist on sexual assistance as a condition for selection.

“Based on this, they become vulnerable to sexual affairs with him but are not known to them, he has a video of every sexual acts without their consent and always threatens to divulge videos if they refuse to continue to have sex with him.

“Aondona was also suspected of being involved in extortion – submit an explicit video from girls suspected of being recorded without their knowledge or approval through several message platforms. Some videos are said to be circulating.”
