EFCC arrests 20 suspected internet fraudsters in Ibadan

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, apprehended a total of twenty (20) individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud.

These arrests transpired on September 1, 2023, in the Ologolo and Idi-Ishin areas of Ibadan, Oyo State, following intelligence reports detailing their fraudulent activities.

The apprehended suspects have been identified as follows: Mustapha Adeyemi Afeez, Oluyombo Tunde Ayomide, Ayanwola Tobi, Oni Joseph Promise, Osifeso Tijesunimi David, Anthony Lucky Daniel, OLanrenwaju Selim Adebowale, and Ezekiel Olawole Kolawole.

Additionally, Abaka Clitus, Adeyinka Wande Ajayi, Gbolahan Lanre Ayinde, Abeeb Rilwan Bidemi, Augustine Okoh, Ayanwonla Omotayo Olaoluwa, Azeez Ibrahim Olamide, Ayanwola Segun Victor, Onifade Ridwan Olabisi, Abaka Moses, Aladelusi Adeyinka Temitope Mathew, and Abolaji Muiz Ajibola are also among those apprehended.

The authorities seized several items during the operation, including three Toyota Camry vehicles, an unregistered grey-colored Toyota RAV 4, laptop computers, numerous mobile phones, and other related paraphernalia.

Upon the conclusion of the investigation, the suspects will face charges in court.
