The Chairman of the Commission for the Eradication of Economic and Financial Crimes (KPK), Ola Olukoyede, has ordered the immediate arrest of two officers of the commission over the attack on a hotel worker in Lagos State.
Officers were seen in a video that emerged on social media assaulting a female staff member at the Annex and Regional hotels early Thursday.
They also opened fire, injuring customers, and arrested several people at the facility.
EFCC Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, who confirmed the development in a statement on Thursday in Abuja,
He said the chairman had ordered a thorough investigation into the incident.

The statement read: βExecutive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Eradication Commission, EFCC, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, has ordered the arrest of two commission officers allegedly involved in the molestation of a female staff member at the Regional Hotel, Ojo, Lagos.
βThe officers were seen in a viral video attacking hotel staff during an early morning sting operation in Lagos. The operation yielded a large number of suspects who are yet to be profiled.
βThe EFCC boss has also ordered a detailed investigation into the operations conducted at the hotel and assured that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against any officer found culpable.
βOlukoyede assured the general public that the EFCC will continue to carry out its duties professionally and with utmost respect for the rule of law.β
