EFCC produced Aisha Achimugu in court after arrest

The Operations of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) gave female businessman Aisha Achimugu before the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday, complied with previous court orders.

Achimugu, flanked by two female EFCC officers, arrived at the court site at around 11:35 in the morning.

It will be remembered that Judge Inyang Ekwo had issued an order on Monday, directing female businessmen, who allegedly left the country, to appear before the anti-corruption agent during the day on Tuesday.

In his decision, Judge Ekwo had also instructed EFCC to produce Achimugu in court on Wednesday after his appearance at their office for a report on interaction.

However, contrary to the expectations of a voluntary appearance, Achimugu was reportedly captured by the EFCC operator at his arrival from abroad around 5 am and then detained.
