EFCC Quizzes Ex-NNPC Gceo, Kyari, for alleged fraud

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has questioned the former Chief Executive Officer (GCEO) of the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, Mele Kyari, because of the alleged misuse of funds, The cable Report.

A source in EFCC confirmed the development to the newspaper on Wednesday.

He said Kyari was roasted because of the alleged misuse of funds released for the maintenance of the country’s refineries while in the office.

Judge Emeka Nwite from the Federal High Court, Abuja, in August ordered the freezing of four accounts domiciled at Jaiz Bank and connected to former NNPC head for alleged fraud.

The President of the Tinubu ball removed Kyari as NNPC Gceo on April 2.
