The Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) has moved to investigate the former Chief Executive of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), Melee Kyari and 15 others due to alleged misappropriation of funds and abuse of position.
Also on the commission spotlights is another executive head of a state -owned oil company, Abubakar Yar’adua.
Others are Ibrahim Onoja, Mustapha Magaji, ISIAKA Abdulrazaq, Umar Aliya, Dikko Ahmed and Ademoye Adeniyi Jelili. among others.
The President of the Tinubu ball on April 2 fired Kyari as the NNPCL executive chief and appointed Bashir Ojulari in his place.

In a letter dated April 28 and addressed to the NNPCL boss, EFCC requested a true copy of certified from Emolumens and the benefits of affected people.
The letter was seen by the media on Saturday.
The letter reads: “The commission is investigating cases of abuse of positions and misuse of funds in which less registered officials from your organization are displayed.
“Considering the above, you are asked well to provide a true copy of their certified from their honorariums and benefits, including those who have retired and no longer work with your organization.”
