Former Nigeria international Austin Eguavoen will continue as Super Eagles coach, the Executive Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has decided.
The committee announced this on Thursday after approving the recommendations of the Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
Eguavoen, who served as the Federation’s Technical Director, took over as head coach of the national team following the NFF’s failure to find a key coach for the team.
Eguavoen will lead the Super Eagles into their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Libya scheduled for next month.

The 58-year-old, who is on temporary duty in the squad, having taken charge three times previously, led the Eagles to a 3-0 loss to Benin Republic and a goalless draw with Rwanda in the first and second matches of the AFCON qualifiers earlier this month. .
Eguavoen will also continue to work with the current technical crew which includes Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa and Tomaz Zorec.
They will also lead the Super Eagles B team to next year’s African Nations Championship qualifying campaign, otherwise known as CHAN.
For the October 11 match, the Super Eagles will host the Mediterranean Knights of Libya at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo before playing them in Benina four days later.
