Eid al -Fitr: Sultan urged the Nigerians to pray for the leaders

Sultan Sokoto, Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar, has asked the Nigerians to always pray for their leaders instead of throwing insults at them while expressing their complaints.

Sultan, who appealed in Sallah’s message after observing Eid al-Fitr prayer at Fakon Idi in the Capital of the Sokoto State on Sunday, urged the Nigerians to continue to pray for their leaders at all levels rather than using harsh words on them.

He said: “It is good to always tell our leaders when there are problems but by doing it, we must avoid rude words.

“If you insult your leader, how can you ask him to do something for you? But if you tell him your problem politely, I’m sure he will listen to you and even do the things needed.

“Pray for Mr. President, pray for your governor, pray to your local government chairman, and pray for your parliamentary members so that God can pity them and assist them in releasing their responsibilities.

“You must also continue to pray for peace, development, and prosperity in our states and the country in general.”
