Eko International Cup: S’West Derby is coming in the preseason tournament … fleet stars, Rem Clash again

The next preseason tournament, the Eko International Cup (EIC) is rapidly generating a discussion in the football scene, since the game fan waiting with high expectations.

A notable game in the minds of many is the new southwest derby in the National League that will be revived in the tournament.

The stars fired from Ibadan and the champions of the Nigeria Professional Soccer League, Relo Stars, are the last rivals in the National League from the Southwest area.

In the newly completed season, Remo Stars achieved a double on fleeting stars by beating the 2-1 headquarters in Ibadan 2-1 in Ikenne and 1-0 in Ibadan.

With the two teams in the highly anticipated preseason tournament in Lagos, a difficult encounter is expected especially with the pedigree of the two coaches.

GBENGA OGUNBOT OF FLEETING STARS IS ONE OF THE MOST Respected Coaches in the country, while Daniel Ogunmodede is also among the best coaches in the country.

“This is a great game that I hope in the tournament just when I hope to see the teams from other parts of the continent, give them a good race,” said a football based in Lagos on Thursday.

The Eko International Cup takes a center center between July 6 and 13 at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos.

SKI-HI Entertainment In collaboration with the state government of Lagos is organizing the competition that is expected to present a total of eight teams.

They are; Remo Stars, Ikorodu United, Shooting Stars and Enyimba of Aba. The four expected teams from other parts of the continent are FC Kallon from Sierra Leone, Accra Hearts of Oak, Ghana, Supersports United FC of South Africa and FC Dadje of the Republic of Benin.

The Executive Director of Advertising and Strategy for the Local Organizing Committee of the EIC, Onome Obruthe, said the tournament would be a change of game in the tournament arrangements are in the best march.

“We have been working very hard in the preseason tournament and we appreciate the strong support for the government of the state of Lagos to take us where we are today. The game fans will have an exciting football dose in July, I am sure of this,” Obruthe said.
