El-Rufai APC section, must be blamed for insecurity-ahmed

Candidate Vice President of the Labor Party in the 2023 Election, Datti Baba-Ahmed, on Tuesday, reacts to the statement credited to the former Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, for the challenges of the country’s security.

El-Rufai has, during the television program channel, Sunday politics, accusing the federal government of pursuing what he called the “kiss-the-pandit” strategy.

He claimed that government officials gave compensation of armed groups instead of facing them militarily.

The former governor believes that the “non-cinetic” approach only functions to dare the criminals.

He accused that the Federal and Kaduna state governments had paid as many as 1 billion for criminal groups in the northwestern state.

Baba-Ahmed, who appeared in other channel television programs, Politics Today, however, said the former governor could not free himself from the challenges of state security.

He also accused that the Congress of all Progressive (APC) had used insecurity as a political tool.

The head of the LP also blamed the National Security Adviser (ONSA) reaction office against El-Rufai’s statement.

Baba-Ahmed said: “El-Rufai cannot escape because he is part of it.

“My grudge with Nasiru’s statement is that he is an inseparable part of APC from 2013. As he said, he is one of the architects of all. Suddenly, he must come and free himself.

“No. Nasiru is an inseparable part of everything that has happened. We suffer, we are a victim of Nasiru’s mistake in Zaria.

“I am very painful, believe me. Nigeria must be a great country, but we have people who destroy us every hour. Inequity has become part of the APC game, and Nasiru said it.

“I think he is right, the government has paid them. I have become an APC way to remain in power. That is my honest and firm opinion, strengthened by unfavorable types of comments such as Nasiru.

“Onsa’s reaction did not deny what Nasiru said. Nasiru had to write some comments and statements now.”
