On the 3rd of the Niger Delta Sports Festival (NDSF), it delivered a complete dose of adrenaline and excellence, with an exciting action in a variety of sports disciplines.
From the electric interior atmosphere at the Godswill Akpabio stadium to fierce battles in the football field, combat sands and aquatic courses, the day offered something for each world lover.

Delta State proved to be unstoppable in the pool, closing gold in the 50 my but butterfly finals dominating the male team’s swimming event. His skill was also evident in the chest, where Uraiah Patrick assured gold in the fast male event.
IMO struggle fighters exhibited the traditional force, winning six of eight semifinal fights in categories of men and women to reserve places in the finals. Raheem Ridwan de Edo also shone with a convincing 5-0 victory in the category of less than 63 kg over the Victor eye of the State of Ondo.
Chess continued to excite, with Bayels State taking total control of the rapid event of women. Deborah Ebimobo was victorious, beating his partner Bayelsan Pelomoh Jessica al Oro, while Ebiakpo Sunshine (Bayelsa) and Osayande Kingsley (Edo) were formed with the third set.
On the tennis court at Dakkada’s skills acquisition center, the Akwa Ibom team surpassed the Edo team in women’s doubles, while Lorelay Holzendorff de Edo survived a strenuous quarterfinals against Olaniyan Adesewa in singles, winning two Breaks sets. She is ready to collide with Etoro Bassey from Akwa Ibom in the semifinals.
Looking towards the future, on the 5th it promises even more fireworks, with late for para-Atletism, swimming, traditional struggle and weightlifting. The day began with a demonstration golf kitten in the prestigious ibomic icon Hotel Golf Resort, establishing the tone for another unforgettable day of sports excellence in the Niger Delta.
