End of the road: Aribo, UNAchu relegated when Southampton crashed in the Premier League

The Super Eagles duo, Joe Aribo and Paul Onuachu, are heading to the English championship after Southampton was relegated from the Premier League after a 3-1 defeat against Tottenham Hotspur, on Sunday.

The loss that was his 25 in just 31 league games confirmed to Southampton as the first team to be relegated this season.

It is the first decline in the history of the Premier League, which marks a disastrous campaign for the Saints.

Brennan Johnson opened the score for the Spurs in the 13th minute, breaking the ball on the roof of the network from the Djed Spence cut.

Aribo, who began the game, showed some intention in the center of the field and tried to advance when Southampton had possession spells.

He has had a mixed season, sporadically, but has remained a reliable presence in the team when asked.

Southampton withdrew one in the 90th minute through Fernandes, but any hope faded when Mathys Tel scored from the place and sealed the destiny of Southampton.

Rooted at the bottom of the table with only 10 points, the Saints now run the risk of finishing the season with less than the record account of 11 points of the 2007-08 season of the Derby County.
