#EndBadGovernance protesters threaten to take to the streets in Lagos

#EndBadGovernance protesters on Saturday threatened to storm the streets of Lagos from Monday to begin a new phase of the ongoing protests if the Federal Government fails to meet their demands.

One of the protest coordinators, Mr Hassan Soweto, a member of the Youth Rights Campaign, stated this while addressing an audience at Gani Fawehinmi Park in the Ojota area of the state on Saturday.

The Lagos High Court, Ikeja, has for a week restricted all protests in the state to parks.

However, Soweto said protesters would stop occupying the park and start marching in the streets if their demands were not met by Sunday night.

He said there would be no protests in the park on Sunday and urged people to go to their places of worship to pray for peace in the country.

Soweto appealed to the police to check the activities of criminals who were suspected of wanting to cause trouble in the park.
