Enyimba head coach, Finidi George says it is important for his side to build on the win against Bendel Insurance.
The holders defeated Brendel Insurance 2-1 in a rescheduled Nigeria Premier Football League matchday one contest in Aba on Wednesday.
Joseph Atule opened the scoring for the People’s Elephants in the 70th minute, while Ismail Seriki equalised for the Benin Arsenals five minutes later.
A strike from Chijoke Mbaoma in the 80th minute proved to be the winning goal.
In a video posted on Enyimba’s X handle, Finidi said it was a good display from his players.

“It’s a game where we dominated, we created chances,” Finidi said.
“First half we couldn’t score, but in the second half we had clear cut chances before the goals started coming in. So a good display from the players. We are all happy.
“I think we have to continue like this, they just have to keep believing in themselves and hopefully we’ll get the job done. It’s not going to be easy but I’m quite happy with this victory.”
Enyimba moved to eighth position on the log following the win.
The Aba giants will take on Heartland in their next league game on Sunday.
