The former Indomitable Lions attacker appeared before a panel on Wednesday after being charged with several crimes.
The governing body of continental football has yet to issue a statement on the result, but Eto’o has opted to seek redress in court.
“I have ordered my lawyers to file a complaint against CAF and establish responsibilities.
“It was too easy to stain everything I had built during these few years in the world of football. The CAF issued a press release too soon. “This is unacceptable behavior,” he stated.
Accusations of match-fixing and ethical violations
Samuel Eto’o was questioned ten months after being accused of involvement in match-fixing by players.
On Tuesday, he appeared before the disciplinary panel of the Confederation of African Football to defend himself against the accusations.
Although there was no word on how he pleaded as the questioning was conducted behind closed doors, the allegations claim that Eto’o irregularly helped a club rise to the top of the Cameroon League two years ago.
In addition to the match-fixing charge, there is a complaint before FIFA alleging unethical conduct in connection with an ambassadorship deal he secured with a sports betting company.
If found guilty, Eto’o could face a lifetime ban from football.
