Everything is lies: the Getafe star has reported that it is outside the Super Eagles team for the World Cup qualifiers

The Getafe star, Uche Chisantus, has ruled out as false reports that they said he asked to stay out of the Nigerian senior national team for his next classifying games of the World Cup against Rwanda and Zimbabwe, respectively.

Uche, who has been present for Getafe this season, was notably lost in the list of 23 players made public by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF). He was on the initial provisional list of 39 men who previously launched two weeks ago.

His exclusion led to conversations in some sectors that the midfielder born in Owerri, who has played more as a striker this season, is not open to represent Nigeria, and asked to stay out of the team for both games.

“That is a lie that I don’t know where it started. How can a Nigerian of full blood like me, who was born and grew in Nigeria say that not to represent the super eagles?” He asked with an expression of surprise on his face.

“I really do not understand when people say that I was born abroad. I was not and only came here two years ago to pursue my dreams of playing football at the highest level. I can only continue working hard and my opportunity will finally arrive. I can’t wait to play for the Super Eagles and I hope the team wins both games,” he concluded.
