Excmo Wasiu Lawal presents mission, vision and talent disc for sports development in ado-ono/ota

The executive president of the local government ado/Ota, Hon. Wasiu Lawal has reaffirmed the strong commitment of his administration to sports development, revealing a clear mission, vision and strategy to take advantage of the potentials of young talents throughout the local government.

The law, as its fans call it with love in an exclusive interview with Owosports.com.ng, talks about its sports development agenda, describes sports as a “powerful tool for youth empowerment, community unity and economic growth.” He stressed that his administration is determined to provide platforms for young people to show their skills, reduce social vices and prepare them for opportunities both nationally and internationally.

Its mission is to build a vibrant sports culture in ado-ano/OTA involving young people through structured competitions, training programs and access to modern facilities.

While his vision is to place Ado-ano/OTA as a center for base sports development in the state of Ogun, promoting future champions that will proudly represent Nigeria on the global stage.

As part of this impulse, the Hon. Lawal has implemented initiatives aimed at discovering and developing raw talents in football, basketball, table tennis, athletics and other sports activities. Internal tournaments, sports clinics and tutoring programs are being introduced to provide young practice exhibition and professional orientation.

Beyond the discovery of talents, its administration is also focusing on empowerment. Sports activities are being used to create opportunities for coaches, referees, administrators and businessmen on a small scale, ensuring that sports development has a social and economic impact within the local government.

In his words, honey. Wasiu Lawal declared; “Sport is more than entertainment, it is an instrument for growth, empowerment and national pride. We are committed to building the future of our young people by giving them the appropriate platforms to excel.”
