Explosion Rocks River Community, kills five people

At least five people were reported death when an explosion occurred in a place where illegal oil products were kept in a residential house.

Dr. Fyneface Dumnamene Fyneface, in a Saturday declaration, said that the accident occurred in the last hours of Saturday 26 April, at about 11 am, killing five people, four females and a male burned beyond recognition.

While asking for investigations on the accident, the Advocacy Center warned residents and young people against the involvement in the vandalism of the pipeline, the theft of crude oil, the artisan refineries and the trade of illegally refined oil products, including domestic storage to avoid bad accidents of this nature.

“Someone brought an enlightened stove near the place where the product was kept for cooking indomies and this lit the fire,” he said.

According to PPRO, four people have lost their lives in the unfortunate accident and promised that “the police will investigate the matter”.
