Eze regrets Crystal Palace’s defeat against Brentford

Eberechi Eze has expressed his disappointment at Crystal Palace’s opening weekend defeat to Brentford.

Palace lost 2-1 to the home team.

Eze had a direct free-kick ruled out by the referee for a soft foul on a Palace player at the time of taking it.

“It’s hard to accept, but I think the main thing is to (have) good performances and, throughout the season, win more games,” he told the BBC.

“It’s hard to accept, but we’ll move on.”

“They told me he blew too early, he said he made a mistake.

“It’s something that maybe could have changed the game, but we have to deal with it. We had a lot more chances, so it’s not like that was our only chance.”

“But it was a good performance, I think if we put in performances like that we will do well, so it’s something we can build on.”
