The Falconets arrived in Bogota on Tuesday, with coach Danjuma expressing confidence in his team’s preparation and determination to secure a victory.

“The girls have worked very hard to get to this stage and we are proud of their efforts. We will progress through the knockout stages one match at a time,” Danjuma said in an interview with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).

He added: “We are excited about the prospect of taking on Japan and the challenge that this brings.”

The Falconets will look to advance to the quarter-finals of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup tournament with a victory over the formidable Japanese team.
