Nigeria U-20 women’s football team, Falconets have advanced to the knockout stages of the ongoing U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.
Nigeria’s women, who started their campaign with a 1-0 win over South Korea, were beaten 3-1 in their second Group D game against Germany.
But they bounced back on Saturday night to beat Venezuela 4-0 in their final group game to advance to the second round.

Amina Omowunmi Bello opened the scoring in the 16th minute and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu doubled Nigeria’s lead in the 28th minute.
The Falconets made it 3-0 just before halftime when Flourish Chioma Sabastine scored in the fifth minute of first-half stoppage time.
As the match was almost over, Nigeria added another goal to complete the rout through Joy Igbokwe in the 94th minute.
