Popular Klerus and Founder of the Citadel Global Community Church, Dr. Tunde Bakare, have revealed that he is under a great pressure to join the opposition of the African Democratic Congress, (ADC).
The man of God became a politician who made disclosure while speaking in his inaugural edition of the Citadel Governance School Dialogue series in Lagos on Saturday, saying that some political stakeholders in the country had pressed him to join the party ahead of the 2027 election.
According to Bakare who was a presidential candidate on the Congress Platform of All Progressive (APC) in 2023, several political figures, including former governors and ministers from the southwest, had urged him to align with ADCs, but however, override the possibility of joining the party.
“There is a lot of pressure on me who joined ADC. They came to my house. Even when I was abroad, the party hierarchy continued to call, saying they needed my voice,” Bakare said.

Continuing, Father Bakare said:
“I will not take part in the ADC. The last time I knew about ADC was about a crash.
“I hope they are fine, because we need strong opposition. But you do not give birth to a child named APC and then try to kill him alone. We will not have the Awolowo-Akintola crisis in the Southwest Southwest,” he said.
Klerus also took time to praise the President of the Tinubu Bola, said his emergence as the leader of Nigeria was supported by Providence Divine.
“If God wants to erase ‘Emilokan,’ He knows how to do it. You cannot get the things that Tinubu brought without God’s support,” he added.
