Federer’s main nominees, from the Potro for the 2026 tennis hall

Roger Federer, the first man to win 20 Grand Slam Singles titles, and Juan Martin del Potro will lead the nominees for the International Tennis Hall of Fame 2026 class.

The category of players recognizes ATP and WTA players who have achieved a distinguished record of competitive achievements at the highest international level:

It was Federer who marked the beginning of an era of unprecedented greatness with his younger rivals Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

They join Federer in the category of players for the electoral ballot of the Hall of Fame 2026 are Svetlana Kuznetsova, twice singles champion, and Juan Martin del Potro, the winner of the US 2009 Open.

The taxpayers category presents the television broadcaster Mary Carillo and the administrator Marshall Happer, with the members that will be announced in November.

Federer is among the eight men with at least one singles trophy of each of the four most important sport events, winning eight in Wimbledon, six at the Australian Open, five in the United States Open and one in the France Open.

He completed his Grand Slam career at Roland Garros in 2009.
