Feeers of Obasanjo, the meeting of Peter Obi emerge …

Feers emerged from the recent meeting behind closed doors between the former Obasanjo Olusgun president and the presidential candidate of the 2023 Labor Party (LP), Peter Obi.

A report by Nigerian Tribune said that the two leaders discussed the state of the nation and how to save the country, among other issues.

The meeting was part of a series of consultancy enlarged in view of the general elections of 2027.

Obi, who shared the details of the visit to his handle X, confirmed that he had been accompanied by the spokesperson for the Council of the Presidential Campaign of the Labor Party, Yunusa Tanko, candidate for the Governorate of 2023 of the party, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour and Segun Adebanjo.

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, national coordinator of the Obidiential Movement, provided more information on the meeting.

He described it as a gathering of “similar minds” focused on the state of the nation.

“It was a meeting of similar minds. Remember, Peter Obi served under the guidance of the Obasanjo head; so there were their two of them, they settled and discussing how to save the country,” said Tanko.

He added that the discussion also touched the importance of the Nigerians who exercise their voting rights.

When he was asked if the former governor of the State of Anambra had declared his intention to apply to the presidency in 2027, Tanko replied: “This is a public declaration. When the moment arrives, everyone will be informed accordingly”.

The efforts to get a comment from the former Obasanjo president were not successful.

One of his helpers said: “It was a meeting behind closed doors. You can call Peter Obi’s people to give you more details.” (Nigerian tribune)
