Included in the team for the next Unity Cup that began today with Jamaica facing Trinidad and Tobago, before Nigeria faces Ghana tomorrow in the other tournament game.

He detailed the process and why he decided to opt for Nigeria’s national team after playing two friendly games for Germany’s U21 five years ago.

“I had the first contact with the Federation (NFF) and immediately wanted to talk to the coach, and I had good conversations with the coaching staff. And yes, then, once, once we had the call, it was a fairly easy decision for me to decide to play for Nigeria, because it is also a good way to also connect with my roots, so it was quite easy.

“This has been underway and I have been following the team, especially the qualification games recently and the last Cup of African Nations.

“So, this was like the most recent games, the largest African African nation and it’s like everyone in the world wherever you go, you know the Nigerians and you like to represent the country. This is like me the greatest honor. So, so I am very happy,” he concluded.
