In a significant step towards improving healthcare services in Nigeria, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Mr. Wale Edun, joined a Federal Government delegation in Bauchi State to launch ten major healthcare infrastructure projects.
This historic initiative, part of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aims to revolutionize health services across the country.
The delegation, which also included Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, was received by the Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Mohammed.
The visit saw the inauguration of the MedServe Diagnostic Center, a key project under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at improving healthcare in the region.
In addition, the Minister attended the inauguration of the Otolaryngology Complex and personally inaugurated the Family Medicine Complex, further expanding access to specialized health services.
In his speech, Mr. Edun highlighted the Federal Government’s commitment to transforming Nigeria’s health sector through initiatives such as MedServe, stressing the important collaboration between Federal, State and Local Governments.
He also stressed the crucial role of international partners in ensuring the success of these projects.
The Finance Minister reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to improving the quality of life of all Nigerians, describing the inauguration as a critical step towards a healthier and more prosperous nation.
By initiating these essential health infrastructure projects, Nigeria has taken a bold step towards a healthier and more prosperous future.
“The Tinubu administration’s commitment to transforming the health sector, coupled with the collaborative efforts of federal, state and local governments, has created the conditions for a significant improvement in the quality of life for all Nigerians,” Edun said.
