FG praises D’Tigress after stunning win over Australia at Paris Olympics

Sports Development Minister Senator John Owan Enoh has showered praise on the D’Tigress after the team defeated Australia 75-62 in a thrilling Olympic encounter on Monday morning.

This victory marked Team Nigeria’s first win at this year’s Olympics held in Paris, France.

The Nigerian women’s basketball team displayed incredible character in the game, defeating the super-basketball nation and the world’s number three nation to record a historic victory.

Australia’s Opals, five-time Olympic medallists, were powerless to stop the brave Nigerian women.

The first quarter ended with a score of 18-17, the second quarter ended with a score of 23-11, while the third and fourth quarters ended with scores of 10-19 and 24-15 respectively.

Senator Enoh expressed his pride and excitement, stating, “This victory is not just a victory; it is a monumental achievement. Our D’Tigress team has shown the world what can be achieved through determination and teamwork.
