FG speaks of “alleged fraud in the provision of the student loan”

The Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, exempted the fund for the loan for Nigerian education (in thefund) of fraudulent activities.

Alausa revealed him on Wednesday after a high-level meeting that was held in Abuja, which included vice-changing, officials of the National University Commission (NUC), representatives of Nelphund and key members of the Ministry of Education.

The minister said that an in -depth investigation conducted following accusations of bad management of the funds did not reveal any evidence of acute practices within Nelphund.

He also criticized the statements made by the Commission for independent corrupt practices (ICPC) regarding the alleged discrepancies in the process of providing the student loan. According to Alausa, the public declaration of the anti-Innesting Agency on the question was misleading and without foundation.

Previously, the ICPC had issued a declaration that stated that his investigation of the provision of student loans by Nelphund had revealed that the Agency had actually assigned all the funds provided for student loans.

The minister’s comments were now about to rest the concerns about Nelphund’s operations, reaffirming the agency’s commitment to transparent disbursements and responsible for the student loan.
